It is with great sadness that we have to say good-bye to one of our beloved five writers, Emilia Grant. Since her Emmy win earlier this year, her schedule has gotten – not surprisingly – much more full, and she needed to bow out of the site with grace and dignity. We all love her very much and wish her the best of luck in everything that she does.
On a much happier note, however, we are delighted to officially announce our new fifth writer. Ron Hayes is a poet and fiction writer from Erie, PA. He teaches English at East High School where he also coaches football, keeps stats for girls’ basketball, and continues to try to start a lacrosse team. A graduate of the Master of Fine Arts program at Queens University of Charlotte, Ron was named Erie County’s third Poet Laureate in September of last year. His poems have found homes in such places as Fjords Review, Rosebud Magazine, Frac/tions, and Gutter Eloquence. He lives in Erie, PA along with 3 Chocolate Labs, two teenage sons, and one very patient wife.
Welcome Ron to our family! We look forward to seeing your poet’s perspective each month!
